  RUDE STAFF and ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS If I could give this store ZERO stars I would. I went to the Wholesome Choice store on 18040 Culver Drive Irvine today at 1:30 pm over lunch break to eat lunch, paid with credit card and ate lunch. After eating my lunch, I took my leftovers box with me and decided to window-shop at the store. As I was leaving with my box of leftover food, a store clerk named Luis standing at the door stopped me and started accusing me of not paying for my food that I had eaten for lunch. He said “I was following you around in the store and you did not pay for that food”. I tried explaining to him that I had paid earlier with credit card. I told him that he can check the store camera as proof that I had paid. I told him that I had thrown away the receipt after I ate lunch so could not show him the paper receipt. His tone of voice kept getting more and more accusatory that I was lying. At this point I told him that I will pull up my credit card transaction on my phone which should show a pending credit card transaction at the store. He refused to listen and could not even wait for me to show him the transaction online and called the manager and left. Within next 2 minutes I was able to pull up the transaction online. The manager’s reply to me was “I will talk to him”. No one including the store clerk Luis or the manager bothered to apologize to me about this incident. The whole thing could have been sorted easily if I was addressed politely and if the clerk had waited for me to show him my credit card transaction instead of involving the manager. SHAME ON LUIS and SHAME OF WHOLESOME CHOICE for hiring employees with POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. This whole incident was shocking and made me feel traumatized by a false accusation and impatient unwillingness to logically address the problem. I would advise everyone reading this post to beware of rude staff and poor management at this store. The staff is too quick to judge you and too impatient to wait for proof. Hang on to your receipts with your dear life as you could be accused anytime of shop lifting! The management should hire more competent workers with better communication and customer skills who won’t jump to conclusions and make false accusations!

  One of my favorite place to shop international cooking supplies. Great prices, and great food to go. They have great Persian Kabobs to Indian to Chinese. Key features: 1. Meat department will cut meat for you any way you want for free. Buy whole chicken and they cut it up for you. 2. Great Persian bread, hot off the oven. Limit 2 per person. 3. Fresh food to go. 4. Awesome desserts. What else you can ask for. OK, I have to admit, service can be bit sketchy sometimes.
